RMTAI Brochure Design

As a side project, I decided to create a brochure relating to a topic that has been very relevant lately, and that is men's mental health and the stigma around it. My goal was to present all of the important information in a brochure for an organisation that deals with this subject, and do it in a visually interesting way. I decided to name the fictional organisation 'Real Men Talk About It', with 'It' being their mental health. I felt like the line was an attention grabber and would achieve the slightly intriguing and provocative effect I was going for.

The layout is quite atypical for a brochure, and it plays a crucial part in the design concept. Bright orange against black and white photographs combined with a bold, modern font gives this design a young and urban vibe, which is intentional. Although statistics are very bad in general, the most sensitive group are late teen and young adult men, which is why it made sense for me to primarily use design elements that will visually speak to them. However, it was important to use photographs of men who vary in age and ethnicity in order to communicate that no one is excluded from this conversation.
